Review highlights
Based on 347 reviewsReis Balık Lokantası is widely praised for its fresh seafood offerings and welcoming, family-run atmosphere. Guests frequently highlight the restaurant’s scenic location in Kefken, with many enjoying outdoor seating that provides picturesque views, especially at sunset. The service is noted for being warm and accommodating, despite some language barriers. Reasonable pricing combined with high-quality, delicious fish dishes such as Levrek contributes to its strong appeal. Overall, visitors appreciate the authentic experience, blending excellent food with a charming setting, making it a favored spot for both locals and travelers seeking genuine Turkish seafood cuisine.
After a long day at the beach, we wanted a place with a sunset view, and my wife was set on it. Reis Balık Restaurant turned out to be the perfect choice. Sitting outside, we watched an incredible sunset behind two lighthouses with boats drifting by — a view you could sit and enjoy for hours. But it wasn’t just about the view. The food here is the real deal. We ordered two Levrek (sea bass), two Hamsi (anchovy) dishes, a sardine plate, fresh salad, squid, homemade chips, and drinks for the whole family of six. Everything was fresh — we even saw the fish being cleaned right there — and it all tasted amazing, especially the hamsi and the squid. Now, here’s what impressed me most: the prices were honest and fair. In Bodrum, I once paid 2,500 TL for just one levrek — a complete rip-off. Here, each levrek was 500 TL, and when the bill came, our entire feast (for six people!) was only 2,700 TL. For that amount of food, quality, and service, it’s unbelievably good value. This isn’t a tourist trap — it’s authentic Karadeniz (Black Sea) seafood, served with hospitality that makes you feel at home. As an Australian Turk, I can honestly say this is one of the best seafood experiences I’ve had in Turkey. Fresh, fair, beautiful, and unforgettable. The real deal.
A great family operated restaurant. Fresh delicious seafood with reasonable prices.
We were received very well by the host Sami and his chef aunt Kismet. The fish was absolutely delicious and the location is perfect. Recommend it very much.
Came here with the family based on the review and comments and the food and place exceeded our expectations. The main person speaks little English and the whole staff are very nice and welcoming
During my trip to the north of Turkey I arrived to this beautiful and familiar restaurant in the village of Kefken. I had some real good food and also met a very friendly and nice service. Definitely, I will come back! Thanks for everything, David
